About King Tide Farms

We are a hydroponics smart farm inside a 40' shipping container located at Firefly Distillery in North Charleston. Our growing process allows us to cultivate 13,000 crops at once inside 320 square feet using less than 5 gallons of water a day. Being an urban farm allows us to become hyper local which means we can decrease our carbon footprint in logistics and ensure our produce is delivered within 24 hours of harvest to allow the most nutritious product possible. We can grow over 5000 varieties of crops while our focus will be on artisanal lettuces, different leafy greens, rare herbs, exotic edible flowers, and specialty root vegetables.

King tide farms. What can I say besides they help my restaurant be the staple in the community that it is. I have worked with Ham since the beginning of both our companies and I can’t tell you the joy this man has brought into my life. He is able to grow whatever wild and crazy things for my menu I have asked for to the quality deserving of a Michelin star menu. From unusual micros to specific heirloom varieties of lettuce that I thought would never be available to me in my community. Ham himself is a down to earth southern gentleman who deserves more praise and credit than I could ever give him. He is easy to work with, cares about the quality of his products, the Charleston community as in its entirety, never uses pesticides and grows everything hydroponically all year round. There is never lapses in shipments and his prices are more than fair for the quality of product you get access to. To any chefs out there… I think every menu should have KTF on it regardless of your size and stature.
